This policy explains how Vilasya (“Vilasya”, “we”) handles your personal information when you use this website.

What we collect

Account details: name, email and mobile number.
Order details: delivery address, items purchased and payment method. Orders are currently paid by cash on delivery. If we add online payments, they will be processed by a licensed payment gateway, and we will never see or store your full card details.
Device and usage data, such as browser type and pages visited, through cookies and local storage.

How we use it

To process and deliver orders and handle returns.
To send updates about your orders.
To improve the website and prevent fraud.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the store (courier, email and hosting partners, and a payment gateway if online payments are added) and when required by law. We do not sell your data.

Cookies and local storage

These keep your bag, wishlist, language choice and login working. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time.

Visitor analytics in brief

What: if you allow Analytics, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and products are viewed, on which type of device, and how shopping steps are used. We never send your name, email or phone number to Google Analytics.
Why: to understand which pages work well and improve the website.
Your choice: it is off until you allow it, and you can switch it off at any time. We also honour the browser's Global Privacy Control signal.

Local weather picks: only if you tap “Use my local weather”, your browser shares a location that we round to about 10 km and send to Open-Meteo to get today's weather. It is not stored on our servers.

Google Analytics

Only if you allow Analytics on our cookie banner (Accept all, or Customise with Analytics ticked) do we load Google Analytics 4, a service of Google. Before that, no analytics script runs.

What it records: pages viewed, the referring website, device type, browser and screen size, and shopping events: products seen in a list or opened, words typed in site search, items saved to the wishlist, added to or removed from the bag, checkout steps (delivery option and payment method chosen) and completed orders (order number, products, prices and order value). Your name, email, phone, address and card or UPI details are never sent. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to tell visits apart.
Location: Google uses your IP address only to work out an approximate country, region and city. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use your device GPS for analytics, and we do not run any IP lookup of our own.
Who sees it: only authorised store administrators, as aggregate reports in Google Analytics. Google processes this data as our service provider; see how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Retention: Google Analytics keeps this data for no more than 14 months, after which it is deleted.
Your choice: choosing Essential only means Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time, or ask us about your analytics data by emailing [email protected].

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data by emailing [email protected]. We process personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Grievance officer

For any privacy concern, write to our grievance officer at [email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
